Alpaca Tips

Korean BBQ & Banchan

Korean BBQ is a traditional dish of meats seasoned with various sauces and cooked in the center of the table. Served with white rice and a range of banchan, or small side dishes. Paired with an Alpaca Carmenere, this meal provides a different sensation in every bite.

Thinly sliced pork, beef and/or chicken
Sesame oil, sriracha
Banchan: Soy sauce with sesame, pickled cucumbers, kimchi.
Namul: Sautéed or steamed vegetables marinated in sesame oil, salt, vinegar, minced garlic, chives and Soy sauce (use spinach, scallions, mushrooms, or broccoli)
Zucchini Salad with Kimchi Mayonnaise
Oyster sauce
Broth
Tofu marinated in Soy sauce, oyster sauce and sesame oil.
Steamed rice
Romaine lettuce

1

Arrange the different banchan into separate small bowls for each person. Light the grill and place the sliced meat alongside it, ready to cook.

2

Pre-season the meat or allow each diner to season to their taste. Broths and rice should be served first, hot and in individual portions.

3

Set your table with each different sauce and side dish. Sauté all vegetables right before serving and then cook the meat once the grill is fully heated.
